Apply a S.W.O.T. Analysis to your business and breathe easy

We have all heard of the S.W.O.T. Analysis, where you focus on 4 areas of your business in order to ascertain whether you are in a good position. In a nutshell, your STRENGTHS, your WEAKNESSES, your OPPORTUNITIES and your THREATS.

This entails asking yourself a few pertinent questions, which will help you realise where your business is sitting at this present moment in time.

If you know what you are great at, then you need to focus in on that. Knowing where you need to improve is just as important. One cannot bury your head in the sand, hoping that your weaknesses will go away. Tied closely is knowing where you are vulnerable. Maybe it’s that your cashflow is low and a big hiccup could set you reeling? Maybe your staff are not pulling their weight? Further, what gives you that unique edge? Today, if you don’t have an offering that is unique, you are not going to last very long.

With OptiGrowth, we go through a set of steps which guide our clients to take make mini goals in order to achieve their bigger goals. All the steps are part of a funnel, ultimately starting with SHAREHOLDER ASPIRATIONS and ending with an ACTION PLAN.

Strategic planning and driving practical, measurable actions is where many entrepreneurs and business owners get stuck. Essentially, if you didn’t run a S.W.O.T. exercise before you started, you have been running on hopes. However, it is never too late to re-evaluate.

Very often, what we think our business looks like, is a very different animal to others.

If you are ready to ask all these questions and need some guidance, OptiGrowth is ready to assist.
